The Second Book of Crystal Spells by Ember Grant

This book is jammed packed with good vibrations!

The Table of Contents is 9 pages long.  So that tells you that it is well organized, and it is very easy to find information.  Each Chapter is outlined with a description that is easy to understand.  I am going to talk about a couple of the chapters, but I will let you read the rest when you buy the book.

The first chapter is on The Salt of the Earth (pgs. 3 to 17), which I feel she has spent a good amount of time on salt to which we as witch’s use a lot of.   A lot of books do not dedicate an entire chapter on salt.  I really liked that.

The chapter Crystals and Tarot (pgs. 19 to 51) gives tips on Card and Crystal Combinations and breaks down each tarot card by giving them a short description, something to think about and their magical uses.  The end of the chapter is Spells and Spell Techniques, which give lots of different reasons and spells and techniques in use with the tarot cards.

Open, Vision, Let Me See, Second Sight, Come to Light.   

Simply hold the stone or lie down and place an amethyst stone on your forehead and visualize your third eye opening.  Remember to keep an open mind.  Avoid focusing on any specific questions or problems at this time.  Relax and allow the visions to come.

This chapter goes through every stone and gives a simple description with a simple chant, affirmation, or manifestation for each one.

I don’t know about you, but I like a book that is organized in a way that I will use it again.  We as witches have many books to go by and we mix and match to what fits us.  Sometimes we need to go our own way with a spell or substitute ingredients or tools.  So, when I go to buy a book in a store, one thing I look at is the table of contents and the Appendix.  I use her appendix.  It’s well thought out and simple enough as to not overload me.
